The new people to the internet have no idea of how things were in the past. They simply had the best right from the beginning. Well the rest of us know that the dial up connections that started the internet revolution used to be the only thing that we had.

New versus old
The main issues that surrounded the change from dial up to broadband were speed and the phone. In the past you had to tie up the phone that you had with the internet connection and that meant that you were going to have to deal with the issue at the right time.

Well when broadband came along things changed all the way around. You did not need to have a phone line to use it, just a simple cable connection and you also did not need to tie things up because the cable ran separately.

The speed was many times faster as well and that meant that you could go and go without sitting for a long period of time.
